Dr Zabelle Aslanyan is a newly qualified psychiatrist living and working in Bristol, with an interest in forensic psychiatry and psychotherapy. She has worked in the prison mental health team for six months and learnt much about the intersectionality of mental health issues and criminality. She enjoys teaching medical students, junior doctors and colleagues about psychiatry and learning from them too. She is keen to promote reflective practice in medicine and runs a mindfulness project for medical students every year. She also co-founded and now co-facilitates a Hearing Voices Group in a forensic psychiatry hospital.
