Dr Elena Leclerc is the Program Coordinator for Health care in Detention at the ICRC Headquarters in Geneva. She is responsible for the implementation of the program in over 60 countries around the world.
Dr Leclerc joined the ICRC in 1998 and has since worked in Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Cambodia, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Haiti, Israel and the occupied Palestinian territory, Rwanda, Switzerland and Thailand. She has authored and contributed to the development of various ICRC and external publications. Since 2013, she has been co-organizing and lecturing for several postgraduate courses in Health in Detention in Switzerland, France and Thailand.
