Fernando Correia, MD PhD

Fernando Correia is a neurologist trained in both in Portugal and the UK (National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children), and Fellow of the European Board of Neurology since 2015. He holds a PhD in Digital Medicine, as well as an Executive Masters degree in Healthcare Management. He has published over 20 clinical papers and did 50+ presentations at national and international congresses.

Fernando is a Founding Team member at SWORD Health, serving as SVP of Clinical Affairs. In this role, he coordinates Clinical Research as well as Quality and Regulatory affairs, and provides strategic support as SME to all teams, ranging from product and operations to sales, partnerships and customer success.

Prior to joining SWORD, he specialised in complex headaches in adults and refractory epilepsies in children, as well as in epilepsy surgery, and was a faculty member of the International League Against Epilepsy.
