Fiona Hogg

Fiona joined Scottish Government as Chief People Officer within the Health Workforce Directorate in May 2023.   Her role is focussed on enabling priorities are aligned and resources across NHS Scotland are used to best effect, whilst building strong networks and encouraging best practice in our people functions across NHS Scotland Boards, by working in partnership with Scottish Government, the Health and Social Care sector as well as professional bodies and wider public services.  

Fiona was Director of People and Culture at NHS Highland for 4 years, leading the cultural transformation following the Sturrock report in 2019.  She joined the NHS after 20 years in people and change leadership roles in Financial Services and Pharmaceutical R&D and is passionate about compassionate leadership, encouraging challenge, valuing difference, promoting kindness and respect and putting people, not processes first.
