Imogen Hyndman

Medical Student
University of Manchester

Imogen is a final year medical student at the University of Manchester. She is passionate about healthcare inequalities both globally and within the NHS.

During her time at medical school, Imogen has represented Manchester at the NHS 70 Conference at the Royal Society of Medicine in London, there presenting a poster about the ‘Inverse Care Law’ within the NHS. She also serves on the committee for the Preston Global Health Society, and has had the opportunity to represent her peers at staff meetings as the Rep for medical students transferring from St Andrews University to Manchester University for clinical years. She is grateful to have first established, and then served as President of the Preston Medical Research Society for 2 years running, and as part of this role has organised and hosted a national medical research conference. She has thoroughly enjoyed teaching medical theory and practical skills to groups at medical summer schools, presenting revision sessions to her juniors at the hospital and hopes to have the opportunity to continue to speak about health care inequalities long into her career.
