James Dickson

James Dickson (founder-CEO) worked for 21 years in London as a fund manager, the latter 15 for long-short European equities business Meditor Capital Management. During part of that time he was a school governor at primary, secondary and special needs schools, director of an academy schools group and an independent advisor to the Dept for Education. He founded Piota in 2015 to try to create a school communications system which would deliver a better experience for parents at lower time and cost for all. He read History at Cambridge University, and these days plays competitive hockey and backgammon in London.
