JD is the CTO & NHS National Programme Manager for iCAIRD, one of the UK’s largest healthcare AI research programmes, based in Scotland. He leads the iCAIRD evaluation team who are an evaluation partner on the AI in Health and Care Awards. He is also the Healthcare AI Lead in Scottish Government, responsible for delivering Scotland's AI Hub for life sciences, health and care.
He sits on the national working groups for radiology AI and dermatology AI, the national digital diagnostics strategy working group, the innovation regulation working group and advises the Scottish Pathology Network on digital innovation, research and AI.
He’s a generalist with a background in product and service innovation; digital customer experience design; cutting-edge technology architecture including artificial intelligence; large-scale international programme delivery; and starting, scaling and running technology companies.
