Jo graduated as a physiotherapist in 2000 and moved into an advanced practice role in 2006; working as a community matron in long term conditions. She currently works as an orthogeriatric advanced clinical practitioner at South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust (SWFT); seconded as simulation and clinical skills lead.
Alongside her main job she also works as an hourly paid lecturer at Coventry University teaching the undergraduate physiotherapists, as a specialist advisor for the Care Quality Commission and as community tutor teaching Warwick University’s medical students in conjunction with SWFT.
Jo also sits on the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy’s Professional Committee, the British Geriatric Society’s Nurse and AHP council and Education & Training committees and the Advanced Practice Physiotherapy Network Executive committee.
