I'm a physicist and engineer by background. I received my undergrad degree from Edinburgh in physics. I then did two masters - one in nuclear engineering from Cambridge, and one in biomedical engineering and medical physics from Imperial. I also gained a PhD from Cambridge in machine learning and computational modelling.
I'm a Senior Data Scientist in the NHS Health Economics Unit. I've been working in the NHS for about three years, applying data science and related techniques to a wide range of healthcare projects. Sometimes these are more general to the system and sometimes they are more targeted to specific diseases, hospitals, interventions, etc.
