Julia Lake has spent most of her professional career within the Informatics arena in the NHS, moving up through the ranks to her current role as Associate Director of Digital Data. She is currently leading on the development of a Data Management Strategy and a new Azure Data Platform for Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. With a specialist interest in research and the use of data to improve patient outcomes and patient safety, Julia collaborated with Leeds University on a HS&DR funded project to “Design and Evaluate a Quality Dashboard for National Clinical Audit Data”. As part of the Cumberlege Review, she was invited to give an opinion on the topic of “Data Collection, Databases, Registries, GDPR and Information Sharing in Private and Public Sectors”. Her goal is to make the right information available to the right people at the right time and to maximise the value and benefit of data assets on the platform to facilitate “data-driven-decision-making”.
