Dr Katina Anagnostakis has been the IMPACT Clinical Director for 4 years. She is a dually qualified forensic and general adult psychiatrist with 20 years’ experience as a Consultant in a range of mental health settings from high secure and prison services through to community forensic and mental health settings. She has been a member of the NHSE Adult Secure Clinical Reference Group for 4 years and has held a range of previous clinical leadership roles, including with the Royal College of Psychiatrists, University of Buckingham and St Andrew’s Healthcare. She is a qualified Dialectical Behaviour therapist. Her clinical and research interests include forensic mental health and outcomes, women’s mental health, personality disorder treatment and service development in secure care. She has published in peer reviewed journals, most recently the outcome of the CALMED study, a multicentre RCT of clozapine in Borderline Personality Disorder, in which she was one of the principal investigators.
