Lisa is a registered mental health nurse with over 20 years experience including specialist practitioner in elderly mental health, acute inpatient care and community nursing and a married mother of 2 school age children. She has been working for health in Justice/substance misuse for nearly 10 years .Prior to taking up her current post, Lisa worked with male offenders for some years but discovered a passion for working with females and subsequently moved to HMP Drake hall 5 years ago where she has been specialist prescribing opiate substitution therapy for the last 4 years as a NMP
Lisa is journey of education and progression has not stopped, she is currently studying to become a hypnotherapist which she will use in practice to relief cravings, anxiety and to help promote healthier emotional wellbeing for service users on Opiate substitution therapy. Lisa has currently carried out some low level hypnotherapy sessions, within her competency on colleagues which have given very positive results
