Lisa Rickers is a specialist nurse with over 20 years’ experience. She has a keen interest in digital health solutions and has worked on projects such as digital pre-habilitation, rehabilitation and creating online patient communities. Lisa is passionate about person centred care and has co-created and co-produced solutions with people who have lived experience of obesity and other chronic conditions. Her curiosity makes her a life-long learner and generator for ideas and solutions.
Lisa holds an MSc in health psychology and has experience of working with patient groups with long term conditions and health promotion. Lisa has been a co-founder of an early-stage start-up and is an alumni on the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme. She is passionate about seeing greater nurse involvement within the innovation ecosystem and is working to collaborate with partners to create transformation.
In her clinical roles Lisa has supported clinical trials and research, led clinical services and worked across the health care system including primary, secondary and tertiary care. Lisa uses a systems thinking approach to help tackle complex problems with multiple stakeholders. She has a keen interest in organisational culture, performance coaching and sustainable solutions.
