Marianne Williams is a Dietetic Advanced Clinical Practitioner working for Somerset NHS Foundation Trust. Having worked as part of an integrated care team to set up a new IBS patient pathway for Somerset in 2012, she then established the first UK ‘Dietetic-Led Primary Care Gastroenterology Clinic’. In 2016 Marianne and her gastroenterology colleague won the prestigious Shared Learning Award from NICE for their work with IBS in Somerset. Since 2017, Marianne and her team have been pioneering the use of webinar-based patient education in order to help reduce unnecessary duplication of information and reduce the burden on both primary and secondary care. Marianne was awarded Allied Health Professional of the Year 2018 from NHS England and the Digital Health Outstanding Contribution of the Year Award in 2019. She and her team won the NHS Digital AHP Digital Practice Award in 2018 for their work on the patient webinars.
It was great to join the Convenzis team again for the patient flow event. As always, the team were incredibly accommodating and happy to help. The quality of attendees is always of a high standard and relevant to the patient flow and to us also. We continue to have great discussions and footfall around our stand with no need to try and encourage people to come and see us. Really positive event for us and we look forward to working with Convenzis in the future.
