Mark Ellis

Mark is Head of Improvement for the NHSE Emergency Care Improvement Support Team (ECIST). A founder member of the team in 2009, Mark is experienced in the design and direction of large complex national improvement programmes across England and Wales. Most recently this has included NHS Alliance 16, a national programme that networked organisations across the NHS in reducing length of stay in acute hospitals. Mark has also been a qualified nurse for some 40 years and has worked extensively at an executive, board and operational level across the NHS providing coordination and expert guidance in the delivery of regional and system wide improvement programmes. Mark is committed to improving patient care, safety and outcomes.
