Martina is a registered mental health nurse with 21 years’ experience working within the NHS in clinical and operational roles. She is a naturally inclusive and compassionate leader with a distributive leadership style who has demonstrable success in collaborative working and building effective working relationships to gain and retain the confidence of a diverse range of colleagues and agencies.
Martina understands what good looks like in terms of patient care and has demonstrable success in securing funding to support service development and facilitate clinical innovation and positive change through people.
Martina’s current role as Head of Patient Flow at RDaSH incorporates leading on national transformation of mental health inpatient services across a multiple ICB footprint to ensure a smooth patient pathway that is reflective of individual need. She prides herself on personal integrity and a positive attitude that challenges traditional ways of thinking and historical clinical practices to implement new ways of working, underpinned by evidence-based strategies to optimise the patient experience and improve clinical outcomes.
