Mrs Nicola Theron

Director of Estates
North Central London Integrated Care Board

Nicola Theron is the Director of Estates in North Central London ICS. This role brings senior estates capacity to accelerate the estates workstream and give further priority to the profile of estate within the emerging ICS, to deliver improved health and care outcomes and support the ICS achieve both financial balance and transformational change.

The focus of the role is to work collaboratively with estate leads in providers, primary care, PCNs, Councils, and other partners, to innovate, share best practice and maximise sharing of resources across organisations in North London, with a focus on estates delivery, efficiency, the health equity and net zero agendas.  NCL are a pilot ICS for delivery of a 2023 Infrastructure and Estates Strategy.

Nicola is a Chartered Surveyor by training, having worked in the private and public sector.  She spent 10 years at PwC as part of the corporate finance, restructuring and management consultancy practice.  She left there to lead a LIFTco in South London, supporting delivery of 10 LIFT buildings, which in addition to primary and community health services, also included the delivery of a sheltered housing scheme, sports centre and primary school.  Nicola has recently left the board of a national charity, Polka Theatre, having chaired the delivery of a new children’s theatre in South London – almost as complicated as working in health!
