Nat is currently a consultant to healthcare organisations having held senior management positions in the NHS for approximately 30 years. For the last 20 years he has sat on a number of national and international committees involved in raising the quality of healthcare provision to vulnerable groups.
He undertakes clinical work in a variety of primary care settings and is the Primary Care Specialty Research Lead for UK National Institute for Health Research Yorkshire and Humber Clinical Research Network. His passion is contributing to the evidence base to inform ongoing improvement in health services for the benefits of vulnerable patients and to this end has contributed to over 300 peer reviewed publications and conference presentations in the field of primary health care inequalities, substance misuse and offender healthcare, whilst holding honorary/visiting associate professor appointments at Leeds and Nottingham Universities.
