Niels Peek PhD FACMI FHIASI is Professor of Health Informatics at the University of Manchester. He has a background in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, and his research focuses on translational data science for clinical risk prediction, precision health, and multimorbidity. He leads the Christabel Pankhurst Institute for Health Technology Research and Innovation, a partnership of academic, healthcare, industry and public sector organisations that aims to accelerate the translation of new technologies into healthcare practice. He also co-leads the International Centre for Translational Digital Health, a collaboration between Manchester, Toronto and Melbourne. He is a fellow of the Alan Turing Institute, the American College of Medical Informatics, and the International Academy of Health Sciences Informatics.
