It was great to join the Convenzis team again for the patient flow event. As always, the team were incredibly accommodating and happy to help. The quality of attendees is always of a high standard and relevant to the patient flow and to us also. We continue to have great discussions and footfall around our stand with no need to try and encourage people to come and see us. Really positive event for us and we look forward to working with Convenzis in the future.

I work as an independent nurse consultant, who specialises in safeguarding adults, dementia, quality, leadership and management and education/workforce development for NHS CCGs, NHS Trusts, Local authorities, specialist neuro rehab hospitals, care homes and private organisations.
Safeguarding Adults Specialist – I lead as an expert in all aspects of safeguarding adults to include safeguarding enquiries, safeguarding adult reviews, domestic homicide reviews and learning disabilities reviews, as well as the role of a Local Area Contact. I am an advocate for human rights and have been working to raise awareness to health and social care professionals and organisations on dealing with complex safeguarding cases e.g people with mental health and or families with no recourse to public funds within the context of safeguarding and other forms of abuse, such as modern slavery and human trafficking.
Dementia Care Specialist – I lead as an expert in all aspects of dementia care and have written a book on understanding and implementing person centred care within care homes.
Quality Assurance Lead – I lead on all aspects of quality assurance to include serious incidents, patient safety, patient experience and clinical effectiveness and outcomes. I develop quality assurance frameworks and quality indicators and KPIs for organisations. I also specialist in supporting organisations to address CQC Section 31 and Reg 17 requirements.
Higher Education Lecturer – I am registered with the NMC as a lecturer in higher education and have worked for a university as a nurse lecturer. I mentor higher and further education students undertaking health and social care courses. I assess and facilitate student learning in clinical practice.
Leadership and Workforce Development – I support and develop professionals at diploma and degree level in relation to continued professional development and utilise action learning in supporting teams to deal with complex problems.
