Paul is a Digital Health and Technology Transfer Consultant with a 30-year record of achievement. Paul collaborated with US and UK clinical teams and companies in the delivery of Digital Health and Technology Transfer programs by providing market placement advice to the UK and Multinational Manufacturers and Pharmaceuticals.
He is an internationally recognised pioneer, expert and speaker in Digital Health implementation. Paul has been contracted as AHSN NENC Digital Program Lead for the North East and Cumbria and Lead Consultant for Digital Health to NHS England’s Strategic Clinical Networks across the North of England.
In his most recent role, he joined NHS Innovations North as Business Innovation & Growth Manager at the Regional Technology Centre (RTC) in Sunderland bringing his expertise directly into Industry and new Start-up technology companies seeking to enter the NHS and Healthcare. He continues the work of delivering a Digital NHS in conjunction with Primary and Secondary Care. Paul’s current work includes developing cutting-edge healthcare technologies with academics and advanced digital companies. Which are intending to producing advanced generation leap diagnostic systems and healthcare platforms.
In his last contract, Paul led an NHS England Clinical Digital Program that delivered over 236 new clinical pathways engaging 700 clinicians across the North of the Country. NHS work was also exported to the US and adopted by the US Military’s Department of Veterans Affairs. Which in recent developments have seen his work being transported to the Australian Healthcare provision.
Paul is a Digital Health Peer Review Expert for the Open BMJ and has a Masters in TQM. His Doctoral Research was in Human Motivational Content Theory. Paul is also a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute.
