Paul is an entrepreneur and technologist with over 30 years of experience leading and delivering services for health, social care and third sector. Starting as a software developer in 1989, he initially worked in retail and corporate financial services including as Head of IT for Royal Bank of Scotland. Following this, he moved into healthcare strategy and delivery and his work includes supporting the creation of CQC.
Seeing the need for a secure platform that would enable improved decision making and data flows for integrated health and social care, he created RIVIAM Digital Care in 2004.
Today, RIVIAM’s multi-agency referral management and care co-ordination services manage over 1.5m records about people’s care a year. The platform is integrated with TPP SystmOne, EMIS Web, NHS digital and EPR systems whilst enabling new care pathways.
Paul has MBA from Edinburgh University and lives in Bath, UK
