Having worked in health and social care for over 25 Years, and held regional and national level roles, Paula is currently the Deputy Chief Operating Officer at Black Country Healthcare NHS foundation Trust.
Since 2015 Paula has been Chair of BME Cancer Voice Programme, Part of the BHI (Black Health Initiative) Charity, which works with BME communities providing support whilst raising awareness of disparities and health inequalities BME people with cancer face. The programme, also works with larger charities and organisations to support them to reach diverse communities, ensuring inclusion in every aspect of cancer programmes.
As Associate Director Patient Experience for NCAT, Paula was instrumental in developing the National Cancer Patient Information Prescriptions Programme and became a trailblazer for the BME Cancer Patient Experience Programme, her commitment to equality within public services led her to develop the ‘Cancer Does Not Discriminate Programme’ which gained international attention, with requested speaking engagements in China, Canada, Paris and Milan.
