I started my career in 1992 in community pharmacy. In 2004, joined hospital pharmacy as a Band 6 pharmacist, working in many speciality areas before becoming the Lead Pharmacist for anaesthetics & critical care and later taking on roles in immunology and homecare. I was the first Independent Prescribing Pharmacy at my Trust in 2008. This took me in a new direction, managing stroke patients in my own outpatient clinic. I have since progressed to Assistant Chief Pharmacist – Business and Operations, where my current responsibilities include Pharmacy service business development, strategy, innovation and large scale project management, developing business cases, scoping new services and primary/secondary care interface solutions.
