Phil is a qualified accountant, formerly working in a top 25 firm where he was Deputy Head of Academies and Education. He now works as a part-time CFO of a 3 school MAT in Kent and runs his own advisory business to the education sector. He also regularly writes for Schools Week and Times Educational Supplement whilst acting as a local governor in a local Kent-based MAT.
