Professor Gail Kinman is a Chartered Psychologist and a Fellow of the British Psychological Society and the Academy of Social Sciences. Her research focuses on the wellbeing of people who work in emotionally demanding professions. Recent work focuses on developing and evaluating interventions to enhance the resources underpinning resilience and wellbeing at an individual, team and organisational level. Gail has a particular interest in the working conditions and mental health of healthcare professionals and has recently co-authored a report on mental health in doctors published by the Louise Tebboth Foundation and the Society for Occupational Medicine. She is currently working on a review of the mental health of nurses in the UK.
