I am a Professor of Medical Oncology in the University of Sheffield and Honorary Consultant Medical Oncologist at Weston Park Hospital, Sheffield. I was a Specialist Registrar in Medical Oncology and Cancer Research UK Clinical Research Fellow in Pharmacology at the Christie Hospital, Manchester before moving to Sheffield.
My clinical and research interests are in the treatment of melanoma and lung cancer, and in the early clinical assessment of new anticancer agents. I am the NIHR National Speciality Lead for Cancer: Early Phase and past Chair of the UK ECMC (Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre) Strategy Group.
Pippa Corrie and I started as co-Clinical Leads for the National Cancer Vaccine Programme in March 2023.
