Professor Sheila the Baroness Hollins is an independent life peer in the House of Lords, Emeritus Professor of Psychiatry of Disability at St George’s University of London, and Honorary Professor of Spirituality and Health at the University of Durham. Baroness Hollins has been a Consultant Psychiatrist, teacher, researcher and policy maker in intellectual disability and mental health. She founded and chairs the Books Beyond Words charity which creates wordless stories about physical and mental health, trauma and criminal justice. She has been President of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, the British Medical Association and the Royal College of Occupational Therapists.
