Professor Ramin Nilforooshan is a Consultant Psychiatrist for Older Adults and Associate Medical Director for Research and Development at Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust as well as a visiting Professor at the University of Surrey. He is also the clinical lead for a pioneering and award-winning Internet of Things NHS Test Bed, called Technology Integrated Health Management (TIHM) for dementia. TIHM uses digital devices and artificial intelligence to remotely monitor the health of people with dementia living independently in the community. Professor Nilforooshan is the speciality lead for dementia research for CRN in Kent, Surrey and Sussex, with a keen research interest in biomarkers for diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease and is the principal investigator for several national and international clinical trials.
