Having originally trained as a general and mental health nurse, Sue held a variety of clinical, managerial and research posts in the NHS before joining the University in 2003.
Sue’s research interests focus on improving models of service delivery for vulnerable client groups. Much of her early research focused on older people with mental health problems. However, she has also explored the services required by working age adults with mental health problems, older care home residents and prisoners with social care needs. She is currently leading a study of the services required by people with social care needs on release from custody.
