I’m a qualified Social worker, and I have worked in the Substance Misuse and Criminal Justice field since 1996. I’ve worked in several establishments across the South West providing drug treatment interventions. I spent 12 years working as the Establishment Drug Co-ordinator at HMP Eastwood Park before moving to the National Treatment Agency in 2010. My task with the NTA was to complete the rollout of the Integrated Drug Treatment System across the remaining South West prisons. In April 2013, the National Treatment Agency was absorbed into the newly formed Public Health England. I sit within of the Health and Wellbeing Team with the role of Public Health Programme Manager supporting substance misuse services across the secure estate in the South West working alongside NHS England and NHS Improvement.
