Tom Boyle manages one of the largest digital communications estates in the public sector as part of his role at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHSFT, alongside navigating the complexities of a PFI environment in overseeing the evolution of Sherwood Forest NHSFT’s legacy fixed voice infrastructure, in advance of the PSTN Switch off in 2025. With an academic background in analytics, he began in the NHS 12 years ago and has worked across both acute and community providers in many different guises, all heavily routed in information or technology. Tom also Co-Chair’s the NHS’s National Performance Advisory Group for Telecoms and is passionate about how important peer support and industry relations will be in the coming years, in the face of an ever-challenging financial envelope and an aging workforce.
