Uzoma Ibechukwu

Uzo Ibechukwu is Chief Pharmacist at RUH Bath and will shortly be merging this the role of ICB Chief Pharmacist for Bath, Swindon and Wiltshire (BSW) ICB.

Uzo’s interest in people and culture has led him to advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion in healthcare practice and leadership, recognizing the profound impact of culturally competent practice on healthcare delivery. Most recently this has involved the working group that delivered the Southwest Inclusive Pharmacy Practice Manifesto.

Throughout his tenure, Uzo has championed the application of quality improvement methodology to improve staff engagement, experience, recruitment and retention to support consistently high quality service. Outside his professional domain, Uzo remains an active contributor to various social initiatives, using his position to support talent development and inclusive leadership in healthcare.
