Victoria qualified with an adult nursing degree in 2007 and has chosen to focus her career in emergency medicine. Her first post was as a band 5 in ED at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Gateshead. This was a temporary contract and after 10 months she left to work as a band 5 in the Bensham Walk in Centre where she had the opportunity to complete the clinical skills course. It offered nurse practitioner experience but Victoria missed the pace and the atmosphere of the A&E department so she returned to the QE ED where she achieved her ALS instructor status.
In 2012, she joined Northumbria Trust as a band 6 Senior Staff Nurse. She completed her Minors Nurse Practitioner training. In 2016 she secured a band 7, a dual role; Senior Sister in ED and Nurse Practitioner at the Urgent Care Centres. In January 2020 she began the ACP apprenticeship in Emergency Medicine.
