Chair Opening Address (Confirmed)
In this session, Josefa will take you through the journey of Integrated Neighbourhood Team (INT) development, reflecting on progress made, key learnings, and the road ahead. The session will explore the origins of INTs, highlighting early partnership-building across health, local authority, and the Voluntary, Community, Faith, and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector. It will also examine how INTs have evolved to align with the six core elements of the Neighbourhood Health Guidance 2025/26, including population health management, modern general practice, wider community partnerships, social care integration, proactive care, and workforce leadership.
Despite progress, sustaining INTs presents challenges such as funding gaps, data-sharing barriers, sector alignment, and workforce capacity constraints. The session will showcase practical strategies, including joint funding bids, enhanced digital integration (MOSAIC & LCR), and strengthened cross-sector collaboration, to overcome these barriers. Attendees will gain real-world insights and actionable solutions to support the continued transformation of neighbourhood-based care.
Panellists will explore strategies to foster integrated workforce planning and development across health, social care, and community services. Key topics will include addressing staffing shortages, supporting skill development, promoting flexibility, and enhancing staff well-being across all levels of care. The discussion aims to uncover actionable insights to build a more resilient, coordinated workforce that can better meet the complex needs of patients and communities in an integrated care framework.
