I received specialist Radiology training in Sheffield and I spent a years fellowship in Paediatric Radiology in 2014 at Alberta Children’s Hospital. I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists and a member of the Royal College of Surgeons.
My current role is as a Consultant Paediatric Radiologist for South Tyneside & Sunderland NHS Trust. I am tasked with developing and delivering high-quality paediatric imaging and education at my current hospital. I provide paediatric radiology services and play a pivotal role in the integration of clinical, education and research findings in practice. I am able to initiate clinical service developments and deliver innovative solutions to patient care.
I also provide clinical strategic support to various organisations in the fields of Teleradiology, telemedicine, digital transformation, robotics and AI.
I am currently the Co-chair for the Outreach Committee of the World Federation on Pediatric Imaging (WFPI) and also a Founding Member of the World Federation of Emergency Radiology (WFER). I was also instrumental in setting up the COVID Task Force for the WFER.
I took two volunteer teams in 2016 and 2017 to Lao Friends Children’s Hospital in Luang Prabhang to help teach paediatric radiology.
In 2019, I successfully delivered the British Society of Emergency Radiology Conference in Durham as Conference Director and was appointed to be the BSER 2020 ( postponed) Conference Director.
