Kate Smith

Prior to joining Hampshire County Council in 2000 I worked in a number of different social care settings, including homes for people with severe learning and physical disabilities and older Adults. For the past 12 years I have been within the field of NHS continuing healthcare. I regularly attend local decision panels as well as being a LA representative on Independent Review panels.

I am joint chair of the SE ADASS LA leads group and represent this group on the National ADASS CHC reference group. I was involved in the 2018 revision of the NHS National Framework for Continuing Healthcare and Funded Nursing care 2018 and have worked with NHSE/I Strategic Improvement programme on the composition of the Delivery Model and the Integrated Care pathway. I am currently supporting NHSE/I with the reintroduction of CHC and the CHC Restoration and Recovery programme.
